Sala12 Filmes had been acting in the film industry for 7 years and is specialized in entertainment content. Besides many customized branding projects, Sala12 has produced 2 documentaries: "Grey City" and "Yoani's Trip".  Due to their new focus on documentary/content producer, they decided to build a new identity, showing their maturity in the industry

I worked on this project by myself as a freelancer. The main challenge was not only the final result but also to design something that should express consistency across multiple applications and also be neutral, because of the nature of their projects: each project has its own identity, which can't be clashed by the new logo.

I decided to use a quite simple approach, without visual elements apart from the typeface. Through using a strong family typeface, their identity should be consistently recognised in their collateral, rather than in visual applications. Also in the typeface, there is a range of weights that can be used in a variety of assets and collateral as necessary.
